Yes, you can!
Lately, strict restrictions have been placed on many work and social activities. These Phase 2 restrictions will be imposed from Sunday, 16 May 2021 till Sunday, 13 June 2021.
The purpose is to greatly reduce community transmission of COVID-19, especially on a background of the greater transmissibility of the B1617 variant which has been brought into our local community.
The relevant authorities have advised against the great majority of non-essential high-risk activities requiring the removal of face masks, such as our favourite national pastime of dining out! Facials and other beauty treatments have also been put on hold. However, The Ministry of Health acknowledges that medical and dental treatments are essential activities and fully permit the continuation of such services. In addition, Health Minister Ong Ye Kung has further qualified that family members staying together can go out as a group for “essential activities” and need not limit the size of their group to two people.
Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, we at Sunshine Dental have put in place many policies and measures to protect the safety of our patients and team members. Our guiding principles are Safety First and Good Customer Care. And good customer care requires that we put everyone’s safety as our number one priority. We practise an abundance of caution in implementing our policies which are constantly updated to keep up with ever changing developments in pandemic times.
Our strict triage criteria require a generous safety margin surrounding any period of illness and possible travel, social and occupational exposures before we see our patients. Our guidelines are based on the latest scientific evidence and recommendations by medical experts. Upon these, we have exercised prudence with a good dose of compassion and practicality. We are sorry that some of you have been inconvenienced by our strict criteria. The great majority of you have been wonderfully understanding and supportive. A big THANK YOU for understanding that personal sacrifices are sometimes required for the sake of the greater good. By agreeing to wait out your “danger or uncertain” period, you have helped us safeguard the health of many others at Sunshine Dental. You warm the cockles of our hearts!
